A gift and a new focus

My entire life I have always wanted to be a chef or baker, but my other interests won out and I ended up working in entertainment. Now I only cook in my personal life for myself and friends. I have never really baked before other than homemade cookies and brownies.

Growing up my Mom had one of those kitchen aid mixers I had always wanted one , but would never treat myself to such a luxury. Well...the other day while chatting with my mom the topic came up that I had always wanted one of these. Fast forward two weeks later I come home and guess what I have. A KITCHEN AID PROFESSIONAL 6 QT MIXER with pasta attachment.

This weekend I spent cleaning out my cabinets and getting organized so I can really begin my baking career.
